The Customs Administration, as an associate partner, will participate in the implementation of a significant international project entitled “ISAAC-Innovative systems to enhance Antifraud Customs Controls

During the 18 months of project implementation, the Customs Administration will cooperate with the customs services of Italy and Albania, the University of Montenegro-Faculty of Maritime Studies in Kotor, the University of Salento, the Molise Chamber of Commerce and the Albanian Transport Institute. The project aims to strengthen the partner network, establish an IT platform for customs controls that will be interoperable with existing systems used by customs services and implement training to use the new IT platform.

The first project virtual meeting (Kick-off Meeting) was held on 28/07/2020 to the satisfaction of all partner representatives and on that occasion the initial steps for the successful implementation of the planned activities were defined.

The Customs Administration will give its full contribution to the implementation of activities within this Project in order to provide trade facilitation and further strengthen the fight against customs fraud.
